What information we collect
When you submit the contact form on this website, we collect: your company name, industry, email address, phone number (optional), number of staff, the challenges you're facing, and your approximate project budget. We do not collect payment card details through this website — payments are processed directly by Stripe.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to assess whether we can help your business, to follow up on your enquiry, and to manage our client relationship if an engagement proceeds. We do not use your information for marketing to third parties, and we do not sell or trade your data.
How we store your information
Your enquiry data is stored in Google Workspace (Google Sheets), which is subject to Google's security and privacy standards. Data is stored on servers in accordance with Google's data residency policies. We retain your information for up to 2 years if an engagement does not proceed, after which it is deleted. If you become a client, we retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfil our obligations and comply with applicable law.
Third parties
We use the following third-party services in the operation of this website and business:
- Google Workspace — for data storage, email, and calendar. Privacy policy: google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/
- Stripe — for payment processing. Your payment details go directly to Stripe and are not stored by us. Privacy policy: stripe.com/au/privacy
- Google reCAPTCHA — our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect against spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends this data to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- AI tools — we use AI tools to assist in project delivery. No sensitive client data is shared with AI services; where AI tools are used, data is handled with appropriate encryption and access controls.
We do not share your personal information with any other third parties.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request that we correct inaccurate information. You may also request that we delete your data, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it. To make a request, email services@builtbybasecode.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies. Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies as part of its spam-prevention function. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies.
